Dr David Keston
David joined HGF after a year in a top tier private practice firm with seven years in-house experience with Vodafone prior to that.
In a patent career beginning in 1997, David has gained wide experience of original drafting and prosecution of international, European, UK and US patent applications relating to computer networks, telecommunications systems and consumer electronics.
Computer-implemented inventions dominate the telecommunications sector, and while at Vodafone David handled the prosecution of patents directed to such inventions in network simulation, network planning, mobile payment and security, packet inspection and location-based services.
David has also worked with academic foundations and university/industry partnerships (including the Mobile Virtual Centre of Excellence in the UK and i2cat in Spain), advising on the protection of intellectual property rights of interest to Vodafone.
In previous private practice positions, David drafted and prosecuted patent applications related to physical and modelling aspects of photonics and waveguides; digital photography, broadcast technology and digital rights management.
