Dr Amy Dawson

Trainee Patent Attorney

Amy joined HGF’s Glasgow office in May 2020 as a Trainee Patent Attorney within the Life Sciences Team.

Amy graduated from the University of Glasgow, in 2016 with a first-class MSci degree in Immunology. Her degree included a 12-month industrial placement, here she performed drug development research within the Immuno-Inflammation team at GSK R&D. Upon completion of her degree, Amy was awarded the Fyfe and Arthritis Research Campaign Prize for the most outstanding final year student in Immunology.

Amy went on to obtain a PhD in Cancer Studies from the University of Glasgow in 2020. Her research was focused on determining the macrophage response to the leukaemic bone marrow microenvironment using single cell technologies. She also undertook an intellectual property and commercialisation internship at the University of Glasgow Research and Innovation Services.
