Trade Mark Attorney

Clare is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and specialises in trade mark clearance, prosecution and enforcement in the UK and overseas. 

Clare graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA joint honours degree in Japanese and English language, which included a year of study in Tokyo, Japan. Her journey into intellectual property began after completing the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP and undertaking an internship at a boutique IP law firm in Hong Kong in 2014. 

Clare qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2018 and gives her clients clear, considered and commercially-focused advice on a full range of IP matters including trade marks, designs and copyright.

Her expertise lies in providing tailored and strategic advice to clients within a wide range of sectors including fashion, technology and food & drink, and strives to enable clients to recognise the value in IP rights which can be significant assets when protected and enforced. She has experience in handling registry proceedings at the UK IPO/EUIPO as well as negotiating settlements to bring disputes to a swift conclusion.

Clare is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and has contributed articles to the CITMA Review.
