Trainee Patent Attorney
Bill graduated in 2012 from the University of Sheffield with First Class MEng Honours in Mechanical Engineering. After his degree, he spent two years working as a graduate engineer for a leading multinational oil and gas company. Bill joined the HGF Manchester office in September 2015.
During his degree, Bill studied a variety of modules spanning across aerospace, automotive, electronic, material and structural engineering. His final year project focussed on exploring the capacity of a 3D printer to print a simple 5-speed manual transmission gearbox, with the objective of providing an educational model whilst also demonstrating the economic advantage of using 3D printing for manufacturing a small mechanical device.
After his degree, Bill spent two years working as a graduate engineer for a leading multinational oil and gas company, where he was mostly responsible for developing projects related to the safe introduction of biomethane gas into the natural gas distrubution network.
