Abby Minns


Abby is an Intellectual Property litigator. Abby has significant experience working on patent litigation for clients spanning across a number of sectors including telecommunications, life sciences and retail. Abby also has deep trade mark knowledge having advised on trade mark proceedings before the UK High Court as well as the UK IPO and EU IPO.

Abby’s expertise covers a wide range of IP rights, including copyright, trade marks, database rights and patents. She has been involved in numerous High Court actions in these fields as well as advising in matters before the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Abby obtained a first class honours degree in biochemistry which led her to initially focus on advising clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, but she has significant experience across a number of industries and sectors. Her clients include multinational companies as well as SMEs.

Abby trained and worked at a leading international IP litigation practice for 7 years before moving to another high profile firm’s IP litigation team in London. Abby completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Law and LPC at BPP and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property at the University of Oxford.
